Wednesday: Current Event due (beginning of the period)!  Debating about the Revolution (graphic organizer).  Choosing Sides (graphic organizer).  Setting Up A Persuasive Essay (handout).  Students will have a drawing in class for which point-of-view they will write their Persuasive Essay (use p. 149 in your book to help you with your perspective).  Some of you will be Whigs (Patriots that are pro-freedom/anti-England) and some of you will be Tories (Loyalists who are British sympathizers and want to stay a part of England).  Purpose: Convince the "fence-sitters" or those who are undecided that they should join your political party.  Final Draft due Monday, Oct 27th (does not have to be typed, but must be neat).  Contracts for Ch 5 test next Wednesday!!
