8th Grade Parents

Dear 8th grade parents,

I had a long talk with one of the 8th grade classes today about bringing their art work home. Some of the students informed me that their parents did not care if the art work got thrown away. I explained to the students that it is a waste of their time, my time, and the art materials, to just throw their art work away. PLEASE talk to your children about bringing their art work home.

Thank you,

Kerri Dempsey

7th Grade: Students will start fine tuning their drawing techniques this week! We will  work on some simple drawing tasks to prepare for our Music Drawing project that we will start later in the week. I sent home 7th grade clay projects on Friday. Please make sure these projects made it home!

8th Grade: Students have finished working on their Sun Face drawings. We will begin the rough draft for our final drawing today in class. Students will transfer their rough draft on to final copy paper, and we will start painting later in the week.

*7th and 8th grade Parents: Some students are a little behind on their Van Gogh reproductions and their Sun Face drawings. I have given LOTS of extra time in class but some are still incomplete. I will be here at 8am Wednesday and Thursday to give these students 2 more days to work.
